The Fallen Angel

A large burst of light fell from the sky and collided with the earth with such a force that the plates of the world shook. A few hours later a canine with magnificent fur limped from the sight and crawled away from the crash site and rest against a tree stump. Here she waited for her strength to regain.

Mizaki would wonder towards the light, wondering if there would be something to salvage from the site. He kept his hand on his gun though he figured whatever was left in that area was either dead or dyeing. He wondered closer anyway. Once he was close enough he saw the crash site and the canine. He now removed his gun. The dog seemed hurt but pain made creatures vicious and even if that wasn't the case, it would still be better to put the poor thing out of it's misery. He Aimed carefully at the beings head, approaching slowly. He wanted to be ready if it were to attack. Mizaki was extremely curious to what had happened.

It had been three years since Hinin had seen his friends or companions and his life had just seemed to move on without them. As of a few months ago, he had taken up being some what of a vigilante or the area. Where there was trouble the cloaked elf was there to fix it as quickly and nicely as he could. This time, he saw the crash and approached. he now wore a black clay mask that perfectly hid his face and his old black cloak, the hood thrown up. He now approached the site, wondering what had happened. He saw the dog and approached with caution. "Dog, are you hurt?"

The dog looked at him with a curious expression and then she surprisingly spoke, "For one who just fell from the sky, yes, thanks for asking." She gazed into his eyes and squinted as if looking through his soul. "Ah...a honest human indeed. Kind heart it seems."

He nodded, reluctant to tell the truth about his species. When he spoke, he tried to mask his voice for fear of a recognition. "What has happened, young one?"

She chuckled a bit, "Young is a cruel word for my kind, for in my eyes you are the young ling." She sniffed a bit and grew curious, "I see, not a human but an elf. And with your upbringing too...surprising that you are as noble as you are. Your soul is pure, your mortal death will lead you to paradise, I promise you this."

He smiled through the mask and nodded. "Thank you for your kind words but I don't do what I do so that i would be happy if I am to die. I do what I do to help only. " He felt actually better now that he had this strange meeting with this animal. It wasn't odd that the beast could talk but he did find it strange that it knew who he was. "And who might you be, might I ask?"

"My name is Coete and you are...Hinin?" She got up, wincing to her leg and licked it carefully, trying to assure that there was no skin deep wound.

He winced, snapping back into hero mode. "So Coete can I help you heal that leg? it doesn't look too bad. One spell should fix it right up. " He hoped she allowed him to help because he yearned to end the suffering.

She stared at him for a bit and sat back, "Go ahead."

He nodded and whispered a few enchantments over her wound and placed his hands on the wound. His hands began to glow green and slowly whatever pain that had been caused would now fade away. The muscles and tendons that had been injured would now repair themselves as if they had grown back together. "There should be pretty fixed now. Now mind if I ask why that was necessary?"

"You wanted to heal it, so I let you. I find it rude to downturn such generosity, even if it isn't necessary." He tail swayed behind her.

He chuckled. "You misunderstand my words. I meant what caused this wound. What led to this point. Sorry I was not clear enough ma'am. " He smiled and considered taking off his mask, feeling that it was useless to hide now but he kept it on to further hide from any passer byers that just happened to be moving along.

"Well...I would think it was falling from the sky that did it. But I could be wrong. What do you think?" He tone was dead serious and had no hint of teasing him or being sarcastic.

He felt a little stupid but nodded anyway. "The fall most likely. there was some sort of boom. what was that?. "

"It was me...falling? I suspect." She grew curious and eyed the surroundings carefully. "Lead me away from here before others show, I trust your heart but there are others whom are not as pure as you."

He nodded and motioned his hand for her to follow. "Lets get out of sight quickly then. " From here, he led her to a cave that seemed abandoned enough where they could talk privately. "I do not believe that anyone will find us here."

"And I'm sure you are right." She lay down on the uncomfortable rocky surface and yawned. "Your world is much different then what I expected. Physical feelings are quite a phenomenon..." He examined her leg, "As is the development of power in this world. You elves were once much like humans, powerless."

He grinned. "Well then it makes me wonder what has changed. " He leaned against a wall of the cave and removed his hood, his hair falling down over his shoulders. He then removed his mask, smiling at the wolf. "I can assume you are a spirit then. It is nice to make your acquaintance."

She stared at him and then looked back to the exit. "I am no spirit child, I have been around since before their creation, and they are ancient beings. I am interested in finding some as well...do you know any by chance?"
