The Fallen Angel

He nodded. "Sure I do. I am an elf. but it has been years since i have spoken to any of them. " He thought for a minute and then decided against an idea. HE didn't know this being and there for didn't trust her. "There are always spirits around us. Everywhere at all times. What do you need with them?"

"To see them. That is all." She yawned a bit and rest her head on her paws.

He shrugged and smiled. "I can't show a full spirit but..." He popped his fingers then prepared for a spell. "I can do this. " He now spoke incantations and aimed his vision on the ground. There, a wolf seemed to step out of a portal of sorts. The animal would be glowing a bright white and golden all over. It's eyes were pure white. The being seemed almost angelic. The wolf looked at the dog and nuzzled it's nose against her fur. "It is a part of my soul I used to create an illusion of a spirit. Nothing more than a spell but I suppose it would be considered a spirit of sorts. " He smiled again.

She examined the spectrum with curiosity. "That is a nice little trick you have."

He nodded. "Yeah. I learned to do this shortly before I knew I could see spirits. I still don't know if what I can do is a elf thing or a me thing but I know I am me and that is all that counts. " He smiled.

"Very true, it is good to be around beings who think as I do. Where I come, everyone is a bit different than I. They all dislike imperfection..." She sighed as she recalled some unpleasant memories. "Tell me, is it always like this when having emotion? Seems awfully painful..." A slight smile formed on her muzzle, "Although, such a vast array of feelings is something new for me. And I've been around for such a long time."

He nodded. "Aye feelings are painful but they are also wonderful and amazing. They can be your greatest weapon or your biggest opening. It depends on how you use them. "

She nodded. "I suppose that is a good way to look at it."

He nodded. "After my life, the only way to keep my wits is to think positively. Plus good will is all that is left." He sighed, letting out some stress from the years.

She nodded at him. "True. You are wise. Even for the standards of elves."

He smiled. "Thanks but I do not believe as much some times. " He felt sorrow creep over him.

She nodded a bit, the sour emotion he felt seemed to course through her but she showed no indication that it did. "Pain seems to be natural in this world. I wish to find a way to end pain. If at all possible..."
